Today, I represent the fourth generation of this family firm, and a fifth generation, my nephew and niece Enrique and Cristina, have already promised to continue the family story, which is cause for special celebration in this very special year and opens the door to a new phase in our development.

ANNIVERSARY GUITAR
The Anniversary Guitar was especially designed by Amalia Ramírez to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the founding of the firm.
The design pays tribute to the beauty of the guitars of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
This is a limited series of 125 guitars and there will be no re-editions.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Ribs and base in Madagascar rosewood.
Soundboard of red cedar or German spruce, if specified in the order.
Special headstock.
664mm or 650mm string length, to be specified in the order.
Carvings on the bridge and the hill .
Special design in boxwood for the finish of the head.
The sound hole is offered in two optional versions: black and white or
coloured.
THE 125th ANNIVERSARY GUITAR
I designed this student model with the intention of commemorating 125 years of this firm, so that our range could include a guitar which was affordable without sacrificing the Ramírez quality. This guitar will therefore be produced for a limited period of 5 years, from January 2007 to December 2011.
SPECIFICATIONS:
This guitar is made entirely from solid woods: red cedar soundboard (can also be made of German spruce on request), sides and back in Indian rosewood rosewood, solid ebony fingerboard, cedar neck..
This is a special design, with a very carefully designed mosaic around the soundhole and repeated on the bridge support.
The same design on the purflings of the soundboard completes the set.
The string length is 650mm.
* CORRIGENDUM: We placed an ebony rod in the fingerb oard of our 125 Anniversary guitar’s first prototype. That detail has been removed in order to construct a solid wood guitar that allows us to avoid an increase of the price.
The 125th Anniversary Book
to commemorate the 125th birthday of the guitar-making dynasty, Amalia Ramírez has published an exquisitely designed book with full-colour photographs of old documents, press articles and letters from the great guitar players who formed the history of this country as the cradle of the Spanish guitar .
